Class 1 (C+E) Drivers

We are happy to accept speculative applications from experienced Class 1 drivers. If we do not currently have a suitable vacancy, we will keep your application on file for up to 6 months and contact you should an appropriate position become available.

Salary & Shift Pattern

Class 1 (C+E): £40,000 – £46,000 per annum

Our standard shift pattern operates on a two-week rotation:

• Week 1: 5 days
• Week 2: 6 days
• 6th day: Paid at an overtime rate of £20 per hour
• Applicants must be flexible and able to work night shifts
• Occasional nights out may be required

The Role

Day to day, you will be responsible for:

• Multi-drop deliveries throughout the UK
• Safe, accurate and timely delivery of temperature-controlled goods
• Carrying out daily vehicle checks in line with Company procedures
• Ensuring your vehicle is roadworthy and the load is safe and secure before leaving the depot
• Completing all required delivery and vehicle documentation
• Maintaining high standards of professionalism and customer service

What We’re Looking For

To be considered, you should:

• Hold a full Category C+E (Class 1) licence
• Hold a valid Driver Qualification Card (Driver CPC)
• Hold a valid Digital Tachograph Card
• Have at least 2 years’ current HGV driving experience, ideally including multi-drop work
• Have excellent geographical knowledge of the UK
• Ideally have no penalty points and no more than 3 current points on your licence
• Be physically fit and comfortable with manual handling where required
• Have a UK bank account and National Insurance number
• Live within reasonable travelling distance of Peterborough
• Be flexible and able to work night shifts
